SAB: Full Circle!

I’m so very excited to announce that I have been selected as a 2026-2027 School of American Ballet National Visiting Fellow. This means I get the opportunity to observe a range of SAB classes, meet with faculty to discuss SAB’s curriculum and strategies for progression, teach SAB students and receive faculty feedback, as well as discuss relevant topics in dance education with administrative staff and faculty.
I will have access to classes and faculty in SAB’s Preparatory, Intermediate, and Advanced Divisions and design a class for SAB students to teach during the spring session. All these amazing things, plus meet with key administrative staff to discuss program Initiatives and operations related to holistic student well-being and diversity and Inclusion in ballet. I am thrilled to join a network of likeminded alumni from around the U.S. who have successfully completed the fellowship.
I trained at SAB as a student and it is so heartwarming to be able to return to SAB as a dance educator to learn, grow, expand, connect and share all this immense knowledge from both current SAB faculty and fellow Fellows and then be able to pour this knowledge back into my students in New Jersey, both in studio classes at Essex Dance Academny and BWH private lessons.
Here’s to growth, opportunity and education!
Best,
Hilary
